With over 30 years of experience with beagles we have developed some of the best methods for breeding, raising and training our beagles. This is something that can truly only come from experience, devotion and lots of hard work. We are a family owned business located in Town Creek, Alabama. We are proud to say that Anderton Beagles can be found in homes all across the USA!
We have placed particular emphasis on improving the following personality and physical characteristics:

Our puppies are raised with children and are socially adjusted. We have been careful not to use barkers, howlers, aggressive or hyper dogs in our breeding program. Our pups bond well with their new families and also get along with other animals. Most of our pups are traditional tri-colored. We occasionally have the brown and white (chocolate) puppies with red nose and eyes. Our puppies are microchipped and will come with vaccination records and deworming records. References nationwide.
The term “pocket beagles” has been broadly applied to many types of beagles so we choose not to use this term on our website.
When I started this family of AKC beagles the males and females were both 10-11” tall. Both were very quiet and calm-natured personalities that were more like buddies than any animal I had raised until that point. I used them to run rabbits. I still raise and train some field beagles as well as the ones that are selected for family pets. Many people that saw my beagles referred to them as mini or pocket beagles. I have selected some average sized beagles since then to maintain the characteristics that have made these a family favorite. We still have some of the smaller sized parents in the program, but we will not compromise the health and other qualities that are important to us - trainable, non-habitual barkers, great personalities and social - to just try to breed only the smallest beagles possible.
